Independent Assemblymember Chad Mayes Endorses Wallis

Greg Wallis Endorsed by Independent Assemblymember Chad Mayes

(Bermuda Dunes, CA) - Today, Republican Greg Wallis announced an endorsement from Assemblymember Chad Mayes. Mayes has represented over 70% of the new 47th Assembly District since 2014. Mayes is the only independent representative in California’s State Legislature.

"California’s legislature is dominated by one-party rule - so much so that it has become a threat to healthy democracy,” said Assemblymember Chad Mayes. “There is no one better than Greg to represent the new 47th District. He’s an independent thinker and will always make the best decision for the people he represents. Greg is more than ready to hit the ground running. He spent years listening to and helping the constituents of our community. Greg puts people over politics and we need more of that in Sacramento. He has my full support.”

Greg has spent his career in public policy, dedicated to finding ways to solve complex problems and make lives better for Californians. Greg and his wife, Desiree, live in Bermuda Dunes with their two dogs, Gunner and Harley.

The new 47th Assembly District is made up of two counties. Riverside County makes up 76% of the voters in the district while 24% are in San Bernardino County. The largest city in the district is Yucaipa, followed by Palm Desert, Palm Springs, and Beaumont. The Republican candidate at the top of the ticket won it in 2016 and the Republican gubernatorial candidate carried it in the last midterm election in 2018.

An endorsement from Chad Mayes is more of a liability than an asset. Mayes pulled some pretty shady shit during his term. I hope Greg will distance himself from Mayes and demonstrate he will not follow his predecessors lead. We deserve better than that!
